If I had my life to live over

I’d dare to make more mistakes next time.

I’d relax, I would limber up.

I would be sillier than I have been this trip.

I would take fewer things seriously.

    I would take more chances.

I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers.

I would eat more ice cream and less beans.

    by Nadine Strain

With a hard week this week during the COVID-19 pandemic – rising cases, deaths, and uncertainty – I have been thinking about the small moments of life.

I have had moments where I have had unexpected emotional responses.

    I have had less control.

I have tried to be present in the moment, instead of thinking ahead. Or thinking of the lost past.

I have tried to appreciate some moments. I have also wished some moments away.

With life a series of moments, and the present slipping so quickly into the past, I find a strange time-warp during this pandemic time. Time is fast but slow. I want time to stop, yet I don’t – I want to wish forward into the future.

How learning more about neuroscience has given me more hope to change

    by admin June 21, 2020

I guess the process of undoing brain pathways, and re-wiring new ones, takes a long time. And awareness is not enough, if you want to change really strong pathways, according to…
