I have spoken before about my ups and downs in business, and a lot about my personal development and trying to manage my mindset. Well, I just did an ultimate week of personal and business development – I went on a REACH retreat, run by HerBusiness, in Hawaii!
Five days in a beautiful location, half way around the world, has given me some amazing tools. Most importantly, I now have goals and a larger vision again, which will keep me inspired and focused moving forward.
In the past, I have often set large goals. Over the last 3 years, I haven’t been setting large goals with a bigger vision in mind. I have only been setting reactive goals, and goals that seemed to be the next logical step. But it is so powerful to have goals with a bigger picture in mind.
Also, the ability to take some proper time away from my business has been the biggest game-changer for me. I have been completely removed – and it took some discipline to turn off my emails – so that I had the mental space to think clearly, without stress.
REACH is a clever acronym for Reflect, Envision, Actualise, Communicate, and Hero. It was a very cleverly thought-through process that had us creating a vision, putting an action plan in place, and then cementing that in.
Also, we have 5 months of support with the mentors, as well as a peer Facebook Page for moving forward, to ensure that we achieve what we’re aiming to achieve.
The photo is of me at Honolulu airport hearing home, a changed woman!
