The middle of winter, and the short days – it’s difficult to fit long runs in, but it’s time to get back into the gym for some weights and intensity workouts. Here are a couple of my July workouts:
July Workout 1
Repeated 5 times:
20kg barbell thrusters x10
mountain climbers x10
Repeated 5 time:
20kg deadlifts x10
jump squats x10
Repeated 5 times:
burpees x10
lunges with a 5kg dumbbell curl x10 each leg
Finish:
up-downs x50
July Workout 2
Repeated 3 times:
12kg kettlebell snatch x15 each arm
16kg kettlebell swing x10
burpees x10
jump lunges x30
July Workout 3
Repeated 5 times:
30 seconds of mountain climbers
30 second rest
30 seconds of burpees
30 second rest
30 seconds of plank
30 second rest
30 second jump lungs
30 second rest
July Workout 4
Repeated 5 times:
burpees with medicine ball x10
knee ups with dumbbells x10 each leg
jump squats x16
reverse lunges with dumbbells x10 each leg
sumo jump squats x16
