Why do you have the ambitions you have?

Personality

A lot of our ambitions come down to our personalities – our strengths, our drive, and our Human Design.

Some are very ambitious in terms of their career, and climbing the ladder. Some are very ambitious to create their own businesses and their own intellectual property. Some are very ambitious to travel, and build their lives so that they are able to do this.

For myself, my personality is that of a learner, and a strategiser. In human design, I am a Manifesting Generator, so my engine burns fast and hard. I am interested in a lot of things, and then I move on. I’m here to try things out, experience things, and show others how amazing life can be.

Because we have a broader range of possibilities open to us, we can see others and believe that we can also have anything that we could want. The possibilities are far more open, for those with the personality traits to chase it.

Era

It appears that it is the era for people wanting to do what makes them happy and ‘follow their bliss’. We are allowed to have personal dreams and aspirations for ourselves, more than in any other time in history.

30 years ago (or in any past generations), I certainly would have just focused on one career path, and not had any side writing projects like this blog. I would not have had as many interesting opportunities available to me that I want to try out.

The world has opened right up, and it’s now a very connected place, with the Internet and online business and more and more people coming online. This shows us the lives different people have, and we are more aware of what is possible … so we want to get it.

Purpose of life

We are becoming clearer, collectively, that the purpose of life is to have challenges and to strive and fail, and to keep going. We are more conscious of this, and because the pace of life is faster, it is more apparent.

Particularly for myself, I have known for a while that the ultimate purpose in life is just to experience the world, and to love and have a great life. But now that I am exploring human design, I am more aware that my purpose for being here is more about showing others how to live, and show people the possibilities that life holds.
